Q: What is Ontady?
A: Ontady is a Canadian-based classified social media platform that lets users buy, sell, and connect within their community. Post listings, engage socially, and discover new opportunities—locally.
Q: How do I create an account?
A: Click “Sign Up” at the top of the homepage. You can register using your email or a supported social login. Follow the steps to verify your account and start exploring.
Q: Is Ontady free to use?
A: Yes! Creating an account, browsing listings, and posting standard ads are completely free. Optional features like premium ads or promoted listings may involve small fees.
🔹 Account & Profile
Q: How do I update my profile?
A: Go to your profile settings, where you can edit your name, photo, bio, and other details.
Q: I forgot my password—what should I do?
A: Click “Forgot Password” on the login page. We’ll send you a reset link via email.
Q: Can I delete my account?
A: Yes. You can delete your account under account settings. If you need assistance, contact us at support@ontady.ca.
🔹 Posting & Managing Listings
Q: How do I post a listing?
A: Click “Post an Ad” and fill in the required details like title, description, category, price, and images. Once submitted, your ad will appear on the site shortly after approval.
Q: Can I edit or delete my listing?
A: Yes, just go to “My Listings” and select the listing you want to update or remove.
Q: How long will my ad stay active?
A: Listings typically remain active for 30 days. You can renew or repost them at any time.
🔹 Safety & Community
Q: How can I stay safe when buying or selling?
A: Always meet in public places, bring a friend if possible, and never share sensitive information. Ontady does not mediate transactions, so use good judgment and caution.
Q: What should I do if I see a suspicious listing or user?
A: Use the “Report” feature found on every listing or profile. You can also contact us directly at support@ontady.ca.
🔹 Payments & Promotions
Q: Are there any paid features?
A: Yes. You can promote your listings for increased visibility. Details and pricing are available under the “Promote” section when posting or managing your ad.
Q: How do I pay for a promoted listing?
A: We support secure payment methods via credit/debit card and trusted third-party providers.
🔹 Technical Support
Q: The website isn’t working properly. What should I do?
A: Try clearing your browser cache or switching to a different browser. If issues persist, contact our support team with a description of the problem.
Q: Can I use Ontady on mobile?
A: Absolutely! Ontady is mobile-friendly and accessible via any browser. A mobile app is currently in development.
